| Safety Features :
Overtime Detector
If a pan is left on the induction range for over 2
hours, and the user does not operate any function during
that time, the range will shut off automatically.
Automatic Safety
Shut-Off
If the induction range is left "ON" for over 60
seconds with a pan on it or with an incompatible pan,
the unit will automatically shut off.
Material
Compatibility Detector
If the pan's material or its dimensions are not suitable
for this induction range, the pan inductor will not turn
on
Small Object
Detector
The induction range will not recognize any object or
utensil smaller than 5 cm diameter ( so as not to
operate if objects such as a knife, fork or spoon has
been left on it.) The best results are obtained with
pans of a diameter comprised between 16cm and 26cm
How its works
- The element's
electronics power a coil that produces a
high-frequency electromagnetic field.
- The field
penetrates the metal of the ferrous
(magnetic-material) cooking vessel and sets up a
circulating electric current, which generates heat.
- The heat generated
in the cooking vessel is transferred to the vessel's
contents.
- The field affects
nothing outside the vessel - as soon as the vessel
is removed from the element, or the element turned
off, heat generation stops.
